How It Works

The Markdown content is sent to the server where it is parsed line-by-line. Headings, lists, blockquotes, and paragraphs are each rendered with appropriate font sizes and formatting using pdf-lib with Helvetica fonts. The result is a multi-page PDF with proper word wrapping, heading hierarchy, and paragraph spacing.

Supported Markdown Syntax

  • Headings — # h1, ## h2, ### h3 with scaled font sizes.
  • Emphasis — **bold** and *italic* text (rendered as plain text in PDF).
  • Lists — unordered (- item) and ordered (1. item) lists with bullet points.
  • Blockquotes — > quoted text with a leading bar character.
  • Horizontal rules — --- rendered as a separator line.
  • Links — [text](url) with the link text preserved.
